Our journey began in 1976 in Sangli, Maharashtra, with the visionary Mr. Vijaykumar Dhondiram Raysoni. From a small space beneath a staircase, he embarked on a mission to redefine waste. Mr. Vijaykumar started by collecting and repurposing waste paper into hand-packed paper bags. This pioneering initiative not only promoted crucial waste reduction but also empowered over 40 local women through job creation an innovative enterprise long before the terms became mainstream. With unwavering willpower and a clear vision for responsible business, he laid the ethical and operational foundation for Vijaykumar & Co., which quickly outgrew its origins to become a prominent waste collection and retail center in Sangli.

Soon as the operations grew, Mr. Vijaykumar Raysoni was joined by his son. In his early 20s, while still pursuing his college education, Mr. Vaibhav Vijaykumar Raysoni joined the family business. Bringing a forward thinking mindset and a keen operational sense, he spearheaded the modernization and expansion of our paper collection arm. Under his dynamic leadership, Vijaykumar & Co. transitioned from a local collection outlet into a key industrial supplier of sorted waste paper. Today, the company procures paper from an extensive network of small and large waste collectors across Sangli and surrounding regions, directly supplying high-quality paper waste to major paper mills like writing printing presses, duplex manufacturers, etc. This strategic expansion not only reinforces the regional recycling infrastructure but also significantly uplifts numerous small collectors, providing them with fair prices and consistent business support, further solidifying our role in society's waste management efforts.
The legacy continues with Mr. Heman Vaibhav Raysoni, the third generation to join the family business. Having completed his MBA from the prestigious Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, coupled with various certifications in waste management, Heman brings fresh perspectives and contemporary strategies to Vijaykumar & Co. His return marks an exciting new chapter, with a clear aim to expand the company's footprint, innovate service offerings, and further solidify its position as a leader in sustainable waste solutions and eco-friendly packaging.
